Warning! Patent infringement can hurt.
Are you treading on toes? The best way to make sure you are not infringing intellectual property is to make sure that your project is backed by a granted patent and or other intellectual property.
At the Concept Factory East Yorkshire all we do is make new concept ideas and protect these concepts with intellectual property which means if you licence a concept from us, you can be sure you won’t get an unwelcome knock at the door and you will be free to exploit our concept(s) while the IP is in place to protect it.
The image shows cameras (one known as the Polaroid SWINGER) from the 1980’s.
Kodak made the huge mistake of violating Polaroids patents and after a ten year battle a court found in Polaroids favour. Kodak was forced to halt production and recall 16.5 million cameras and pay nearly $1 billion in damages.
The legal loss crippled Kodak’s instant photography business.
The huge damages and loss of market confidence sped the decline of both companies in the digital age.
